1. Old town

The old town of Rhodes is the largest medieval town in all of Europe.

It is considered one of the most important cultural heritage sites in the world.

In 1988 it was declared a World Heritage City by UNESCO.

2. Lindos

Lindos is an ancient city on the island of Rhodes, about 50 km southeast of the center of the island.

It is one of the most picturesque places on the island, with beautiful houses and narrow picturesque streets.

The Acropolis of Lindos, with its ancient temple and towers, is a wonderful archeological site.

It is a unique place and one of the most visited archeological sites in Greece.

3. The Valley of the Butterflies

Just 15 km southwest of the city of Rhodes you will find a place of incomparable natural beauty.

Surrounded by hills, countless trees and islets. From June to September,

the butterfly valley is full of colorful butterflies.

They choose this place to lay their eggs and reproduce.

It is an ideal location to find

peace and relaxation during the hot summer days.

There is also a restaurant and a gift shop where you can relax.

4. Seven Sources

Epta Piges is located 30 km southeast of the island’s capital, in a wonderful location

with many pines and palm trees.

The natural shade offered by these trees creates a cool atmosphere, which is invaluable in the summer heat.

The lake consists of seven springs, where you will see geese, ducks and peacocks.

If you pass by there you should enjoy a meal at the nearby restaurant.

There you will find – in addition to excellent flavors – a wonderful panoramic view of the mountains.

5. Archaeological Museum of Rhodes

In the city of Rhodes, the Archaeological Museum of the island houses objects dating from the Archaic,

Roman, Mycenaean and Hellenistic periods, which include pottery, sculptures, statues, ceramics and much more.

The archeological findings of the museum come from the island of Rhodes

and other islands of the Dodecanese, offering the visitor the opportunity

to get acquainted with the local cultural production over the years, under

6. Rhodes island Museum of Modern Greek Art

The Museum of Modern Greek Art is located at the entrance of the medieval city of Rhodes,

The museum houses a rich collection of paintings, sculptures,

drawings and documents from the 20th century and attempts to present a narrative

7. Rodini Park

Rodini Park is a real paradise on earth. Just three kilometers away from the city of Rhodes,

along the national road Rhodes-Lindos. It is the oldest park in the world

and is famous for its dense vegetation.

The idyllic landscape created by the small bridges, the water lilies scattered

on the surface of the lake and the traditional narrow paths are definitely worth a visit.

8. Ladiko

Ladiko is a small bay near Faliraki with stunning sand, small rocks and turquoise waters.

After enjoying your swim, you can try a local meal at the nearby tavern. Note that it is full,

especially in August, due to the unique landscape and the wonderful blue beach.

9. Agia Agathi beach

One of the most beautiful beaches of Rhodes, located on the east coast of the island.

Agathi is a wonderfully preserved unspoilt beach, without many crowds and noisy beach bars.

The only signs of “tourist culture” that you will find here are some “canteens” that provide sunbeds and umbrellas.

The beach is recommended for free camping and is a great place to spend a few nights with good company.

10. Prasonisi

Prasonisi is located in the southernmost point of the island, 92 km away from the city of Rhodes.

11. Saint Paul’s Bay Lindos

Agios Pavlos, Rhodes The small cape of Agios Pavlos is located south of the Acropolis of Lindos,

at a very short distance from the village, while it is 50 km. from the City of Rhodes.

According to tradition, the Apostle Paul landed here in 43 AD.

to teach the Christian religion (hence the name of the beach).

The small white chapel of the beach is dedicated to his memory.

The beach consists of golden sand and pebbles.

There are also some rocks, from which you can dive to turquoise waters.

Sunbeds are rented on the beach.

12. Afandou Beach

Afandou, Rhodes The endless and wide Afandou Beach is 22 km. from the City of Rhodes (SW).

It is located a short distance from the homonymous village and the golf course. I

t consists of sand and pebbles. It is a relatively quiet beach (no pedal boats or jet-ski rental).

The water here is deep and crystal clear.

Next to the beach you will find some taverns; you can also eat in the village of the same name.

In the village of Afandou there are hotels and rooms for rent.
